Time series changes, and Huazhang is constantly evolving. Looking back at the year 2024 that has just passed, the world situation has been full of ups and downs, with intertwined turmoil, war and peace struggles, deconstruction of the old order, and reshaping of the new pattern going hand in hand. More than 70 major elections have been held globally, with geopolitical games and political divisions taking turns. The world is at a critical turning point in a century long transformation.
In this turbulent and turbulent year, the Institute of International Strategy of Contemporary World (IISCW) has always adhered to the concept of "seeking truth, openness, cooperation, and win-win", deeply cultivating research core areas such as international relations, global governance, and economic and trade cooperation. It is committed to building a cross-cultural, cross political system, and cross economic dialogue platform between China and Eurasian countries, and contributing Chinese wisdom and global vision to reshaping the world pattern of peace, stability, cooperation, and inclusiveness.
In terms of research, IISCW has released a total of 7 research reports and nearly 100 policy analysis articles throughout the year, focusing on major issues such as "major power relations," "Eurasian integration," "global order evolution," and "regional economic and trade frameworks. Our research work always keeps up with the pulse of the times, faces policy realities, focuses on global trends, and strives for foresight, pragmatism, and practicality.
In terms of communication, the international network of IISCW continues to expand. In 2024, our researchers and advisory team visited multiple countries including Russia, Kazakhstan, Germany, France, and the United Arab Emirates, engaging in exchanges and dialogues with dozens of government think tanks, universities, and international organizations. At the same time, we discussed new paths for global development with outstanding guests from politics, academia, and business under multiple themes such as energy security, regional cooperation, and digital governance.
In terms of think tank construction, IISCW is accelerating the improvement of its research team system, launching the "Youth Scholar Support Program", strengthening the output of multilingual research results, and creating a research-oriented platform that integrates policy recommendations, risk warning, and trend analysis.
On the occasion of bidding farewell to the old and welcoming the new, we are grateful for every ideological confrontation and collision of viewpoints, every cross-border exchange and cooperation, and every intellectual contribution silently cultivated throughout this year. It is all of this that has enabled us to keep moving forward.
Looking ahead to 2025, IISCW will continue to serve national strategies with a firm professional spirit and a global perspective, connect international networks, and build a high-end think tank with international influence.
